Stormers sail through another big wave

April 29, 2013 in Uncategorized

The Stormers achieved a narrow; however, a much needed victory against the Hurricanes ‘across the ditch’ to keep their hopes of making the play-offs still alive, bearly but still alive. Great defense and determination; however, something that doesn’t happen that often, charging down a conversion kick profed to be the key factors.

Gold star to Bryan Habana for ‘never say die’ and charging down the conversion. Two vital points that did prove to be the difference on the scoreboard.

  1. They should fire all the SA franchise backline coaches and get guys who know what they are doing. There’s no reason the Bulls, Stormers and Sharks shouldn’t score 4 tries almost every game

  2. Miskien is die Kiwi’s so goed met eerstefase bal omdat hulle gewone opponente se verdediging so swak is?

  3. Nice. As jy ‘n fout maak gaan jy betaal.

  4. punisher, I think the problem is deeper. it starts at school level where kids are over coached and natural flair not encourage. but, I agree, SA backline coaches are useless. Fleckie and Slaptjips were both very instinctive and had flair, but, you can coach that.

  5. Interesting stat is the Stormers still have the least tries scored against them. While the Blues are 2nd with one more try against. The Blues have scored a lot more tries 15 versus the Blues 24. The Blues also have the most bonus points in the comp 8 versus Stormers 4 although both teams have won 4 and lost 4. If stats are to be believed the game on friday will be very close and a low scoring with the Blues shading it. But stats are stats GO STORMERS!

  6. Based on what does it start at school level?

    Let me try again

  9. jypraatkak is not my account, just by the way O.o
