Alberts at lock, Flip back, Kieran out!

The Sharks had their second practise today at Surfers rugby club. The weather was fine, sunny but cool alhtough a few more showers is expected before Saturday’s clash.
Willem Alberts will start at lock for the Sharks with Steven Sykes on the bench. The Sharks keep their lethal loosies with Ryan Kankowski at 8, Marcell Coetzee 7 and captain Keagan Daniel at 6.
I also prefer Alberts on the field from the start and for 80 minutes. His inclusion makes the Shark’s lineout more vunerable, so other options that will be used more; will be at the back to Daniel or Kankowski.
Flip van der Merwe returns to the Bulls team. A welcome back as they will have to try and dominate the Crusaders pack. Kieran Read’s withdrawl is a big blow for the Crusaders. Read is by a mile the best numbe 8 on the planet.
The Stormers remain the big favourite (67%) on the new poll to win the Super15! Come and vote at:

Sharks need Kanko and Bis to play as well as they did against the Bulls and the Bulls have to dominate in the loose from the start. I honestly don’t see Spies dominating Read. He’s mostly only good with ball in hand

Powa, agree. Kieran Read is not playing though witch probably means McCaw at 8? Michalak has been good so far but he can’t be ‘hot’ the whole season. He is french after all and I hope he stays in control. Sharks can scrum Reds to pieces.
