Does Snake White have enough venom to kill Bulls?

April 19, 2012 in Uncategorized

Joke White already mentioned here in Australia that he awaits a hostile reception in the ‘Dutchmen fortress’ on Saturday! Really, Joke, who cares….? Not alot of SAFFAS! Remember that no SA franchise or Currie Cup team wanted you.
Most bloggers and gurus reckon the Bulls will thump the Canberra wild horses. One thing that this year’s SupeRugby has taught us so far, is that anything is possible. Ask the Blues about their outing to Madeliefie-land. So, yes, it is possible. Will it happen? Not likely. The Bulls could go to number 1 in the SA franchise if they beat the Brumbies with a bonus. Even if the Stormers beat the Reds in Brisvegas tomorrow night, they will have to get a bonus to stay on top, if the Bulls win with a bonus happens.
Does the Brumbies have a realistic chance?
Week 9:
Highlanders vs Blues
Reds vs Stormers
Hurricanes vs Crusaders
Waratahs vs Rebels
Sharks vs Chiefs
Bulls vs Brumbies
Seems to be the easiest week so far to predict? Well, put your balls on the guillotine!

  1. Blues
    Reds
    Saders
    ‘Tahs
    Sharks
    Bulls

  2. Highlanders, Stormers, Crusaders, Waratahs, Chiefs, Bulls

  3. That’s Jake White for you.

He knows that we don’t care, but he also knows South Africans better than most people. He wanted his team in the papers and he got them in the papers.

I also think that he somehow wants to put the Bulls off their game by distracting them, but Ludecke seemed unfazed by his remarks. He just said that he knows White well and that he is a very good coach who is to be respected. I think he saw through the whole ploy and his charges will stay focused on Saturday.

  4. White is a legend.

Divvy always has been and still a joke…see he is unemployed and no begging SARU for a job to work with club coaches…

  5. Highlanders, Reds, Crusaders, Waratahs, Sharks and Bulls

  6. Higlanders, Reds to scrape it, Canes, Tahs, Chiefs and Bulls

  7. Highlanders, Stormers, Crusaders, Waratahs, Chiefs, Bulls, …perhaps the most clearcut weekend thus far on paper.

  8. On the Bulls, I think the Brumbies have a great loose trio, top halves and good outside backs, and a few Wallabies in the frontrow, so not a bad team at all…but I’m not expecting a upset…

  9. Ooooh H – you are tempting fate dude :)

  10. I think the Bulls shouldn’t underestimate a very good Brumbies team, they have quality all over the park, and have improved every week…I think the Bulls should take it, possibly comfortably, but just like when playing the Blues, if the Brumbies get on the frontfoot…and suspect they have a chance of winning, they;ll be tough to beat.

  11. haha…does your comment have anything to do with me picking the Chiefs?

  12. lol – nah – my choice of Sharks is more out of loyalty, it will be a big ask.

No, more the “most clear cut weekend” – thats tempting fate ;)

  13. haha…that’s why I added the “on paper” bit…knowing very well that anything can happen on the field…I’m a little scared of overconfidence

  14. H&P your statement about Divvy is ditto for Joke mate. No one in SA wanted him. senior players like Matfield, FduP (for whatever reason) enjoyed playing under Snor more. yes, maybe because they ran the show, but also becaue Snor was a more personal coach

  15. matfield, fdp co won zip at world cup 2011 coaching themselves.

  16. @Yossarian, in which edition of the Huisgenoot did you read that?

  17. “Reds to scrape it”

    No way, hosay. STORMERS!!!!!

    Photobucket

  18. Reds at home can be a problem, few people here gives them a chance in winning. I will be very surprised if all 3 SA teams win this weekend, maybe only 1 makes it.

  19. how about a real jaw-dropper,whinging Joke White and his over achieving Brumbies to beat the Bulls….fair and square.

  20. Blues
Reds (Changed from Stormers to Reds because of SA teams history in Brisbane)
    Hurricanes
    Waratahs
    Sharks
    Bulls

  21. Han Solo – have you seen how many guys have the same prediction? If they dont come off, there are going to be a host of sad faces come Monday. Hope you’ve recovered from your mauling by the two rabid ferrets yesterday.

  22. the amount of people with similar picks just confirms the clearcutness of the weekends fixtures…on paper…it’s better if you get it wrong and everyone gets it wrong with you though…so genuine upsets rarely have a big effect on Superbru, because no one picks them…

On yesterday, I thought I was the one doing the mauling…or was it rucking? can’t remember..I quite enjoyed that constructive debate

  23. haha…it turned out to be even easier than what I initially expected
