Liefling…!

December 10, 2010 in Uncategorized

Al song wat sedert gisteraand in my kop ronddraai is Liefling!

Lika Berning, is doodeenvoudig pragtig. So natuurlik mooi.

Wink

PS: my Moeksie was gisteraand my date!

Luke makes my TIA XMAS!

December 7, 2010 in Uncategorized

Luke Watson, the white Mandela, is coming back! He will come to build up EP rugby and get them ready to replace the useless Lions or Cheetahs, for Superrugby 2012.

Even more, he’ll be here in time to be selected as the Bok’s openside for the holy grail! Schalk is not a fetcher, Stegman CC-level, Flo in the bad books and Brussow had a ‘Gavin magic Johnson’ season!

Wait there is more! Luke will be ready to lead the Springboks in 2012! Happy days are just around the corner!

Imagine the Bok’s loose trio of 6: Watson 7: Alberts en 8: Vermeulen!  Eish, bring on the world!

Maybe this is Snor de Villiers’ master stroke and his ‘blueprint’ for the WCup! And then you thought the latter was a clown and puppet!

PS: Hunters Extreme R22.50! Still a bargain when consumed at Blue Peter. That view of Table Mountain is priceless!

PS: Did I mention that my flight was delayed on JHB? No, not because of some technical issue. They couldn’t find the pilot!

TIA, this is Africa!

An all black IRB awards presentation!

December 3, 2010 in Uncategorized

Did someone mention that Richie McCaw is the toughest and even the best player of ‘all time’ this week? O, yes, it was me!

New Zealand captain Richie McCaw on Wednesday became the first player to win the International Rugby Board (IRB) player of the year award for the third time.

All Blacks head coach Graham Henry won a record fourth coach of the year award and New Zealand were named as the team of the year for the fourth time in six years.

The poll I ran last week had  bloggers, typical SA biased supporters, as Matfield the most deserving. Time to wake up South Africans and Bulls supporters. Other countries can also deliver sporting greats!

What to do in Cape Town?

December 2, 2010 in Uncategorized

It’s time! Yes, D-day has arrived. I’m coming ‘home’ and will be back on Republic ground Saturday afternoon. I’m a Bok for sports so tell me what’s happening in Africa!

I need some advice on ‘what to do’ in the Cape Town area during December and January.

5th Dec: Blue Peter

11 and 15th Dec: weddings

12th Dec: Duran Duran (CANCELLED? Damn!)

2nd Jan: India vs SA at Newlands

Visits to Stellenbosch wine yards, La Med on a Sunday afternoon, going to a Skallabrak gig and a possible road trip to Knynsa, are always on the cards. I, however, would appreciate your ideas on what to do when in Cape Town.

Clubs, bars and other entertainment worthwhile experiencing?

If you are in the Cape area, come and have a long cold one at ‘Blou Piet’ (Blue Peter) Sunday afternoon

What time do they show the Boks vs Baabaas in SA?

I have to get a connecting flight in JHB Sat afternoon and it would be brilliant if I can watch the game at the airport before I go to the ‘mother of all Cities’!

No one as tough as Richie MccAWESOME!

December 1, 2010 in Uncategorized

Is there tougher and better than Richie McCaw?

I don’t think so.

Many regard Gareth Edwards as the best rugby union player ever! I’m one of  them, however, MccAWESOME is a close second.

He is surely the toughest player ever? See how quickly he recovers from Andy Powell’s cheap shot on Saturday!

MccAWESOME would be the first player I pick for any World Team?

Do you agree?

Who would be your first player you pick?

These Baabaas will smash Bokkies!

December 1, 2010 in Uncategorized

Barbarians: James O’Connor (Australia), Joe Rococoko (New Zealand), Ma’a Nonu (New Zealand), Adam Ashley-Cooper (Australia), Drew Mitchell (Australia), Matt Giteau (Australia), Will Genia (Australia); Salvatore Perugini (Italy), Stephen Moore (Australia), Neemia Tialata (New Zealand), Anton van Zyl (Stormers), Chris Jack (New Zealand), Rodney So’oialo (New Zealand), Martyn Williams (Wales), Colin Bourke (Chiefs).

Replacements: Keven Mealamu (New Zealand), John Yapp (Wales), Quintin Geldenhuys (Italy), Daniel Braid (New Zealand), Andy Ellis (New Zealand), Stephen Donald (New Zealand), Seru Rabini (Fiji).

BAABAAS met 10!

PS: Andries Strauss’ call up for the Baabaa game cheapens Bok colours again. Strauss had a brilliant CC-final, but Currie Cup is not the measuring stick anymore. Meyer Bosman, Jaco Pretorius or Wylan Murray could have be options for just one game.
