Bulls deserved to win and did. But that was more to do with the Stormers being woeful than the Bulls being good.
Steyn did have an good game but the Bulls still struggled to score tries or legitimate tries.
Look do not get me wrong the Bulls was way better than the Stormers but I am still not convinced the Bulls will bother the top 3.

Great stat of the Kings there Bay. Shows they took those bad pre-season defensive performances to heart and worked out the kinks. They need to keep stepping it up, this was only the Force, to take on NZ teams later and the Sharks coming next, its gonna get a lot tougher…

“Missing only 15 from 215 tackles” I didnt see that stat. That is very impressive indeed. If memory serves the Bulls missed 3 out of 90 odd and the Stormers 5 out of 60 odd.

Did not see enough of the Sharks/Cheetahs game to comment on their defence..

Bulls had a solid game and Morne was good at what he does best. Stormers struggled in the scrums and at the breakdowns, were shocking in the lineouts and Jantjies had a horror game.

Sharks nearly threw it away when they went to sleep and allowed the Cheetahs to play their own game. Coenie Oosthuizen should go and learn his trade at club level before he pulls on another Cheetahs jersey.

The Kings defence was superb, missing only 15 from 215 tackles and Steven Sykes had a stormer. Petersen definitely someone to watch.

Glad to see some good games out of the local derbys, although the lineout play off all SA teams were concerning…. Well done to the Kings to stun everyone, glad for the players to get some confidence, they gonna need it come the rest of the comp, will support them on the field (still say the watsons are d##se though), and to the Sharks to grind it out in the end… They almost gave it away to a fierce comeback by the Cheetahs. Bulls did well, although Stormers were stuttering from the start, probably the only real let down of the weekend. Still a long ways to go…..

Agree with you Harry.

However, I do feel that all of our loosies have something to prove. Especially Pierre and Dewaldt, as their performances over the last year or so has left a lot to be desired of.

The same can be said of Morne Mellet. The Stormers have said in the press that they are going to target him. I am sure he will see this as a challenge and use it as motivation.

So many talking points already, I hope the game lives up to the hype.

Massive game ahead. As Bulls supporter I am optimistic, but a bit concerned of our forward pack. To be honest, the Stormers looks stronger in the front row and loosies. We would’ve definitely needed Jacques’s and Deans physicality in this game, thou our lock pair is stronger than the opposition. I truly hope Mellet and Steggies really put up their hand,,

Still I think if Hougi and Morne are in form, then we should be able to win this one, but it’ll be a tough one.

We've priced up the Stormers to win by 3 to 4 and I see most of the other bookmakers are pretty much in line with that.

In other words - we've gone 55 / 45 Stormers.

And you know bookmakers are never wrong .... haha
