You talk of the Brumbies lack of experience and underestimating the opposition. I think that the Stormers are more guilty of this. Maybe they don't lack experience, but they definitely underestimate the opposition.

Personally I think that the Brumbies are now starting to fade away in this competition as was predicted. They seem to be going backwards since losing to the Stormers. The Cheetahs, I hate to say will also fade away. The Sharks are in a good position to seal this Conference in the next 2 games, and should be looking to finish in the top 2 overall or even topping the overall log.

The Stormers season will be determined by the tour down under. Even one loss on tour will be a big blow in the context of the current situation.

Please don't get defensive REM. I was remarking that there is nothing wrong with the Sharks attacking game. They use it when it will be effective and play a more conservative approach when it will not. I was using the rebels as an example of how effective their attack can be.

The Sharks you say put a big total past the Rebels? Well the Rebels have not received such a kaffe pak yet to my knowledge. They are not a bad team, not just a confident one at that, atleast they got four points.

Don't worry mate, The Sharks will finish them off at the Tank come Friday. Crusaders are still a good team but far away from their greatness that saw them win 7 titles. Maybe WP showed them too much respect and the occasion got to them. Was like a home game for the Crusaders as well(LOL). Definitely no support for them at the Tank Friday night.

Your WP team has even more problems this weekend, away to the in form Cheetahs.

I think last 2011's RWC final has shown that Craig Joubert is not the best ref in the game. He made 9 mistakes in favor of the All Blacks in that final! Last night the Stormers lost all on their own though as they had chances, but Jantjes, Vermeulen and Pat had off games to say the least! Replacement strategy could have gone better as well - in current form Taute should not be near a replacement bench...

the point was that there is depth and form may be temporary but class is permanent. an example is habanna who after one bad year came back the next year and was rugby player of the year. HM shouldn't care about the press.

I'm not sure there's that much going on at #10. Goosen is injured, Lambie isn't playing too well, HM will get destroyed by the media if he picks Morne. Currently the 2 guys who are playing well are Jantjies and Catrakilis, but I don't think HM wants either of them as his flyhalf so he doesn't have much to go on.

Heyneke Meyer definitely opened Pandora's Box when he started selecting overseas based players last year. When a player like Juandre Kruger, at the start of his Bok career, to move overseas for payday rugby it is a clear indication that both SARU and HM are losing the plot.

Andries Bekker, according to a report on sarugbymag.co.za, made his decision in order to extend his career in the hope of playing in the 2015 RWC. It seems he feels that his back won't last otherwise.

The big issue to me is that Bok caps seem to be taking the back seat to big paydays these days.

Franco van der Merwe is the only experienced lineout specialist left but some of the young locks have showed promise in Super Rugby so far, mostly at #4:

Pieter-Steph du Toit (Sharks)
Lood de Jager (Cheetahs)
Paul Willemse (Bulls)

The Stormers have Ruan Botha, whom they haven't played yet, who could step up to the #5 spot, Hendrik Roodt has been doing good work at the Lions but he is more of a #4, so to have Franco Mostert.
