Need at least 3 strikers for the season and system?  Check.  Get rid of ALL the old stalwart players who could be forwards?  Check.  Loan out the 3rd striker?  Check.  Sign no replacement?  Check.  You can’t make this stuff up.

Getting rid of a 35m pound striker on loan without charging for him, and then not having the money to get Dempsey?  Wtf were they thinking?  Rodgers himself said he would have to be a nutcase to loan Carroll out without a replacement, well guess what, buddy?  See that guy in the mirror?  He’s a nutcase.

I can’t even begin describe how pathetic Liverpool are in the transfer window year after year, and this must surely be a new low.
