Facebook got rid of Lawrence, could the same happen with the Kings?

So Bryce Lawrence decided to retire from being a ref.

He said and I quote, “On Facebook they launched a ‘get rid of Bryce Lawrence’ site and it was pretty nasty.”

He is now starting to come out with the truth. And it seems like Mr O.Neill had much to do with his performances or lack there off anyway.

I read an interesting comment and it made me think. Could social media have such a big impact on individuals in the way that this did? If so, then people are very easily manipulated.

Would this work if a Facebook group called “ get rid of the Kings” were started. Would this put pressure on SARU to come out with the truth, even if it is a year down the line?

Food for thought

The Rolls Royce is on the Bench!

Christian Cullen

Do you remember this guy? I do. He was one hell of a rugby player, and along with Jeff Wilson and Jonah Lomu, theeeeeeeee most feared back three in world rugby. They didnt kick, or when they did it was an attacking kick to try and retain the ball. They ran the ball from any damn place on the rugby field. This man was class.

Pat Lambie

Now we all know this guy. He is our Christian Cullen. Running from anywhere and only kicking when he feels the need to. Any team in world rugby would want this guy at 15 along with players like Aplon, Taute, Ludick and Joe Pietersen. Yet we have them warming the bench and giving out the oranges at half-time.

Zane Kirchner is nothing spectacular. He does his job, ie. Catch the ball, tackle now and again and kick the ball back to the opposition to only run it back at us. I cant recall, maybe it’s because I dont watch rugby that much anymore, but I have never seen Zane run the ball back at the opposition, EVER! He only joins the line 5m out from the tryline. Now, I was a fullback and scrumhalf in my time, and I was coached to join the backline from fullback on attack to try and establish a overlap as much as possible. Why cant he?

The point I’m trying to make is this. Zane is 28, the likes of Lambie, Taute etc. have an average age of less than 22. Time to look at the future and bring these okes in. NZ and AUZ have always played their youngsters. Look at Cullen, Lomu, Wilson, Larkham, Cooper, O’Conner. All youngsters!

The time is now, either play them or lose them to the Frogs or the damn English.
