Bigger than the game!

Need we say any more?
KP always was and always will be a controversial character.
Brilliant, that he is, we can give him that. Bigger than cricket itself, well that he isn’t.
I am the first one to make fun of the English because I get great satisfaction when and if they fail, just because they are so arrogant. I have always supported KP because of all the politics involved in his decision to leave SA and adopt England as his new home. But after his interview stating that he might retire after the 3rd test for reasons other than financial reasons, I have to say, it sounds a bit peculiar. This man now thinks that he is bigger than cricket, he will play when he will, for whoever he wants to, basically, on his terms. Well, if I am the England selectors I would ask him to bugger off right now.
Can you believe this guy?

I would be worried if I was involved with the England coaching/selection staff as he was the only batsmen to have given them any chance whatsoever. Cook made a hundred, but has been dismissed for low totals in 3 innings since, Prior maybe. They really need KP and like the arrogant person he is, he will milk it…

KP is the last person to be bigger than the game. One could still in some deranged kind of way, (like just about all Indians), that Tendulkar is bigger than the game, but KP?

Tendulkar’s record speaks for itself. He is playing cricket for more than 20 years already, achieved everything there is to achieve, and yet he is as humble as can be. What a role model.

I intend to write a post on this topic when I have the time; but your assumption that KP is to blame for the shit between him and the ECB is not accurate. He had confidential discussions with the ECB and they leaked it to the media. KP was then blamed for causing tension in the camp and for stealing all the thunder. This is the same ECB that fired him as test captain a few years ago without informing him beforehand. Ask yourself this: why did Trott find it necessary to say he misses London when he visits Cape Town. He said it days before the first test at the Oval. The ECB wants 100% commitments from their foreign players but give none in return. Anyway; I would double dare them to drop KP before Lords. That would make it a very secure and pleasant outing for the Proteas. My guess is they will pick KP now and only after the Lords test they will show the balls to drop him.

Never been a fan of the loudmouth, even with his exceptional cricket talent. I suspect he is disliked by all his teammates and just a pain in the butt kind of person. No one likes you, Kevin.
