Questions not asked before about Kings/Lions

April 28, 2012 in Uncategorized

1) When the Lions are relegated and the Kings come into Super rugby. What would happen with Ellispark? The Lions are already cash strapped.

2) A lot of the current Lions team would go and play for the Kings and other unions, and would possibly sign contracts of 2 years plus. What will happen with the Lions come Curry Cup?

3) Will one of our best Provincial sides die a slow death and be confined to second tier rugby for the next few years, like EP?

Sorry for lack of paragraphs, iPad problem

Whats good for the Goose isn’t always good for the Gander (non sport)

April 26, 2012 in Uncategorized

A month or so ago Kitchener (Mr. Know it all) told Hugo in
his face that he is a coward and a liar and all sorts of names because Hugo
deleted a post. Now, today he (Kotchener) did the same, but only with my
comments and his lame replies, because I made a fool of him on his own Blog.
Poor show from him, but what did you expect from a POM. And to make matters
worse, his good pal Lord Lucan wasn’t even there to help him in his few minutes
of need.

Nice one Kitch.

The Super 15 is successful, LOL!

April 25, 2012 in Uncategorized

“It’s too early to consider a change to a format that’s currently successful. “

These are the words of SANZAR CEO, Greg Peters.

All I can say is, WOW! I also think the current format is very successful, especially when the top ranked Ausie team is 6 points behind the Bulls, yet they are 3rd on the log and the Bulls 6th. I know Powa spoke about it yesterday, but this is just taking the piss.

cheers!

Spice Up Super Rugby !

April 13, 2012 in Uncategorized

How could we SPICE UP Super Rugby?

We all agree, or we all mostly agree that Super Rugby at the
moment  is a bit boring (much like
Northern Hemisphere Rugby). So, how could we Spice it up a bit and attract more
bums to seats?

The lack of tries and the lack of bonus point tries, with a
lot of emphasis on defence have contributed to this “boring” rugby. Maybe if we
think of ways to play a bit more expansively, this might change.

Here is a thought or two:

1)
A team should get a bonus point for leading at
half time

2)
Another bonus point if you score your 4 tries
before half time

Now I know a lot of people will say that a losing team then
might end up with the same amount of points as the winners. This just means
that if you want to win games and not complain about the losers getting as many
points as you, that you yourself will have to score more tries and at the same
time make sure your defence is damn good. It’s not rocket science, even the
POMS can work this one out.

At the time of writing this my Sharks got a lucky try, but
whose complaining?

Any more ideas?
