Super Mario

What a game of Football!
I was busy packing last night as I’ll be moving on Saturday, a friend asked me, via text, if I was going to watch the second Euro 2012 Semi final between Italy and Germany and who I felt was going to win, I had so much left to do that I decided against watching the game, I also told him that smart money would be on Germany…unless a bit of Balotelli magic sinks the Germans…
That comment was almost a joke…or just my scepticism getting the better of me. a few minutes later the game started, and not too long after kick off my friend informed me that Balotelli scored, and that Italy were up 1-0 . the sports fanatic in me got the better of me, and off to the TV I went.
I was fortunate enough to catch the second goal which left top goal keeper Munuel Neuer clueless. every bit of it, from the collection of the ball to the over the top celebration had arrogance with a dash of pure class written all over it – the same arrogance that many question, but I’d like to think, when Balotelli pitches, he’s simply THAT good.

Super Mario Balotelli
The Germans were always going to have some defensive issues, as they often attacked with both Lahm and Boateng , giving the Italians the opportunity to counter, and if it wasn’t for missed opportunities, the scoreline could easily have been 3-0 or even 4-0 at the end of the 90min.
a brilliant game to watch for the neutral, most likely a very frustrating match for any German fans. – were the Germans complacent? who knows.
what a game – what a player – Mario Balotelli
For those of you who haven’t seen it, here’s his second goal

Yes, it seems the Perfectionists could not beat the Romantics! Yesterday was a weird sports day with Nadal also losing to the 101 ranked player at Wimbledon.
A few WP questions, if I may:
How did you get the video in there? And how do you get an image posted?

same as on letterdash, well kinda, to add an image you simply click on the upload/insert button right above the editing controls or underneath the heading of the post(in create/edit mode) -’add media’ appears if you hover your cursor over the button
it’ll open a screen which gives you the option to add media from pc, URL or media library, under Url, you simply paste the image url, and it even gives the option to add a caption, pretty easy and cool.
adding a video is even easier, on letterdash I used to use the youtube “old embed code” , simply copy it, when creating your post you’ll be on the ‘visual’ page, top right(just above the editing controls) you’ll see an HTML button, if you click on it , it’ll give you the html layout of the post thus far, you simply paste the code you copied wherever you want the video to appear.
strange thing I noticed is, I have to approve comments, but replies are automatically posted.

Thanks Hanjo, sorry to only reply now, but this lack of email notifications are really not working for me. I really only need that for me to be happy here.

So ze German’s aren’t Uber Alles after all. In fact they were beschiesend.

judging by the comment I assume you’re the old Phil.

Your assumption that I’m the ‘Old’ Phil, is correct on all levels. I was also Philistine but that was the fault of this bekakte new blog system. Press the wrong button and you have instant identity theft.

It was pretty obvious that you were ‘philistine’ – so I guess you’re not in the mood to add an avatar? – it just happens to be one of the few things that’s ‘doable’ on the new platform.

Nah Han Solo, I’m too bloody lazy. I should have posted a blog long ago but now with the new setup, everyone seems so isolated and I miss the email responses. I reponded to Kevin D’s Burger Blog and they are still on Leterdash. Kinda more homely.

due to a lack of a reply button under your last comment, I’ll rely here. Phil, I believe if we all post regularly, we’ll get that homely feeling back, although here are some other issues, the notifications being the biggest of them all.
