Sharks Sharks Sharks….. Whats going on????

April 24, 2012 in Uncategorized

They Win
one game loose the Next, seems to be the way they going….

Come on Sharks you guys are capable of so much more!!!

My opinion, New Coaching Staff and New Scrumhalf, some
think he’s brilliant, I’m not to sure anymore on Charl McLeod. I don’t think he
is that great… I just find sometimes he takes too long too pass the ball and
also he runs 3 or 4 paces then only passes. I find that dangerous because it
gives the opposing team an idea of what he is about to do and who he is about
too pass too and that poor bloke gets flattened….

Sharks you got to do something if you want to win…..

Jacques Kallis wants one more World Cup!!!

April 10, 2012 in Uncategorized

Veteran South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis has
vowed to defy age and history, saying he wants to win the 2015 World Cup for
his country before calling it a day.

Since their post-apartheid debut in cricket’s one-day
showpiece in 1992, South Africa have never made it to the World Cup final,
famously wilting under pressure several times despite boasting some hugely
talented teams.

Kallis, 36, who is playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in
the ongoing Twenty20 Indian Premier League (IPL), said he was confident he
would remain fit for the next World Cup to be jointly hosted by Australia and
New Zealand.

“My primary target is to help Team Kolkata win the
IPL. But when it comes to international commitments, I want to win the World
Cup for South Africa,” Kallis told the Times of India on Monday.

“In my cricketing career, I have achieved all
success, but the only thing that has eluded me is the World Cup.”

Kallis, who has figured in five World Cups, can draw
inspiration from Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar, who was part of his
country’s World Cup-winning side last year on his sixth and probably last
attempt at the age of 37.

The South African all-rounder, who has scored 12 379 runs
in 152 tests and 11 498 runs in 321 one-day internationals, said he had not
thought of quitting the game and his aim was to stay fit. He has also grabbed
276 test and 270 one-day wickets.

Golf At Its Best!!!

April 9, 2012 in Uncategorized

The Masters 2012 was probably the best golf tournament I
have ever seen.  It came to sudden death
to decide the winner of The Masters. At one stage it looked like the other
golfers like, Lee Westwood, Phil Mickelson, Peter Hanson and Matt Kuchar could
win the game but in the end it was between Bubba Watson and Louis Oosthuizen.

Louis hit an unbelievable shot to get him a double eagle
which was fantastic. It was one of the best golf shots I have ever seen. From
there he kept calm and played his natural game. Bubba Watson was right behind
him and he came back very well. He played a bit like the late great Seve Ballesteros,
he hit a drive that’s in a bad position or behind trees and then he plays a magnificent
shot which won him the Masters.

Golf is such a great game just when you think you have a winner then another person wins. It was really a exciting tournament and i’m really looking forward to the next golf majors coming up later this year.

Well played Louis you played like a champion it was unfortunate
you never won but that’s golf, you win some you loose some. Huge Congratulations
to Bubba Watson the new Masters Champion you deserved to win well done.

Final Day of The Masters

April 8, 2012 in Uncategorized

The Masters 2012 has been really exciting and I have
enjoyed watching all the days.

Today is the final day and it’s still anyone’s
game which makes this tournament really great. Yesterday some players played
well and others didn’t. I thought Tiger was going to be a force to be reckoned
with but I was wrong. Phil Mickelson and Peter Hansen played extremely well
yesterday and are looking strong. Louis is also looking good, he just needs to
stay calm and then he can do it.

It’s going to be a tough final day for the golfers,
and I can’t wait to see how it all plans out.

Thoughts on who you think is going to win?

First Golf Major Of The Year The Masters!!!!

April 3, 2012 in Uncategorized

The First Major of the year is here and all the golfers
who qualified for The Masters are eager to win the green blazer. Its a
historical golfing event which will be held at Augusta National Golf Club.
Defending champ Charl Schwartzel will be wanting to defend his title but it
will be extremely difficult as all the other golfers want that title just as
much as he does.

Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy command most of the
attention leading into Thursday’s start of the 76th Masters, but there will be
95 other golfers trying to win the champion’s green jacket, too.

World No 7 Woods, the highest-ranked Masters winner, snapped
a 2 1/2-year win drought by taking the Arnold Palmer Invitational two weeks
ago, showing the form that brought him 14 career major titles, four off Jack
Nicklaus’s record.

Second-ranked McIlroy, a Northern Ireland prodigy who won
last month’s Honda Classic to seize the top ranking for two weeks, won his
first major crown at last year’s US Open after a back-nine Sunday collapse cost
him the Masters. He will be eager two win his 2nd Major Championship
and also would like to regain the No 1 position in the Golf Ranking.

Either Woods, 36, or McIlroy, 22, is featured on covers
of the latest golf magazines, both of them drawn in boxing gloves for one
publication. They are not the whole show at Augusta National this week, but
they are the headliners

World No 3 Lee Westwood, searching for his first major
golf title at age 38 after a host of near misses, remains patient entering
Thursday’s start of the 76th Masters despite the frustration. The 38-year-old
Englishman has finished in the top three at five of the past 10 major
championships, including Masters and British Open runner-up efforts in 2010 and
shares of third at the 2011 US Open and the 2009 British Open and PGA. So he
will be fighting hard to win his first Major Championship.

Luke Donald’s quest for a first Major sees him tackle
Augusta National for the eighth time this week and the lessons of the past tell
him he needs to take some of the pressure off himself. The World No 1 Golfer is
determined to win the green jacket and to also keep his position as No 1 golfer
in the world.

We can’t count out the SA golfers they also want to wear
the green jacket and with Charl defending champion he too will be wanting to
keep the title and wear the Jacket for another year. Good luck to them

Good Luck to all the golfers its going to be a awesome

CSA to release Botha after World Twenty20

April 3, 2012 in Uncategorized

Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced on Friday that it
has decided to release Johan Botha from his national contract after the ICC
World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka in September.

“Johan has been an excellent servant of South African
cricket for a lengthy period of time and we will never forget the manner in
which he captained the Proteas to success in the absence of Graeme Smith in the
away ODI series in Australia in 2009,” commented CSA Acting CEO Jacques Faul.

He has fully committed himself to the Proteas for the
next five months, which includes the away series in Zimbabwe and England as
well as the World Twenty20. Johan Botha is at the moment our first choice
spinner in the T20 format.

“However, he has had an offer to captain South Australia
over the next two seasons and this will provide valuable opportunities in
broadening his experience in a leadership role.

I personally think
this would be a good opportunity for him, because we all know he is a great
captain and a lot of us still believe he should be captain so hopefully CSA
will see this and maybe make him T20 captain, but sadly I don’t think he will
captain SA again unless AB gets injured but even that’s doubtful because Amla
is vice captain and he would properly take over the duties.

CSA have stressed the fact that Johan remains fully
committed to South African cricket in the long run and he is by no means
bringing down the curtain on his international career for the Proteas.

Botha expressed his gratitude for CSA for his contract
release. “I remain fully committed to the Proteas in the long term,” he said,
“but I would hate to look back on my career at the end and regret that I did
not take this opportunity.

“It is purely a cricket decision and there is no
financial incentive in accepting it. If anything I will be earning less than I
would as a contracted player.”

Good Luck Johan Botha I hope it all works out for you.
You are a fantastic cricketer!!

Francois Steyn To Leave Racing Metro And Is Coming Home

April 2, 2012 in Uncategorized

Metro’s Springbok utility back Francois Steyn is to leave
the club at the end of the season, the French side said in a statement on

The Paris-based club said on its website that it
understood the player’s decision, attributing it in part to pressure from South
African rugby bosses to see their key player compete on home soil.

The 24-year-old, capped 47 times for South Africa, has
spent three seasons with Racing and had “actively participated” in
the club’s revival, the club added.

Steyn scored a 75-metre run-in try in the club’s 27-16
win against Castres on Friday. Racing are currently sixth in the French Top 14
league and are vying for a place in the end-of-season play-offs.

It will be Great to have him back!!!!

AB de Villiers and Vernon Philander move up in Test Rankings!!!!

April 1, 2012 in Uncategorized

Big congratulations to AB de Villiers and Vernon Philander who have soared up the ICC test rankings after South Africa’s 1-0 series victory over New Zealand. Both players have been in good form and it will be great for us if they can continue in the good form they are in.

AB De Villiers made two half-centuries against the Black Caps and he went up four places to reach the top of the rankings table for batsmen. This is the first time in AB’s career that he has done this in test cricket. He is now tied level with Australia’s captain Michael Clarke to share the No 1 spot with 821 points. Congratulations to him for his great accomplishment.

Vernon Philander, who became the second fastest player to reach 50 test wickets in the third and final test, went up 11 places in the ranking to a career-best fifth in the rankings for bowlers. Well done Vernon I hope your current form continues.

Jacques Kallis dropped one place to third, while Hashim Amla, the only other SA batsman in the top 10, climbed two positions to eighth. Dale Steyn retained top spot, while Morne Morkel dropped one position to 10th. Kallis remained in second place as the country’s top-ranked all-rounder.

Congratulations Boys hope your rankings improve more and more as your cricket careers continue. Keep it up!!!

EPL Title Race Manchester United vs Manchester City!!!!

April 1, 2012 in Uncategorized

The EPL is becoming a real interesting tournament this year. Normally you have Chelsea in the title race but not this year. This year the title race is between Manchester United and Manchester city two famous rivalries that go way back. Man City has never one the Barclays Premiers leagues before so they will be fighting it out till the death and Defending Champions Manchester United will want to keep the title at Old Trafford.

Carlos Tevez now returning to City will help City a lot as he is a great player and he will know how to play against United although City haven’t done to badly with out him, but that will be very hard because the great Sir Alex Ferguson will have plans on how to take on Man City and again so will Man City’s manager Roberto Mancini. Last time the two teams met Man City defeated United 6 – 1 which was an unbelievable performance from Man City and as a Man United supporter myself I had to give City credit for that match and I believe they are going to bring there A game the next time these two teams meet.

The famous Manchester United and Welsh International football Player has stated The Premier title race in England will come down to the Manchester derby at Eastland’s on April 30, I agree more with Giggs, Its going to be a awesome game and good luck to both teams. Go Manchester United!!!
