This year, one of my major goals is to complete the Two Oceans Half Marathon in an improved time from my last year’s time of 2hr58 minutes.
The 2013 event takes place at the end of March, which in running terms is just around the corner, which means one thing – train, train on the terrain.
I run in a group of about 10 people who meet every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Planning for these races is absolutely crucial because you need to get the kilometres in ahead of the big race otherwise you just won’t cope.
One of the members of my group, who is extremely diligent in her planning has put together this training program, based on training programs she has done over the last couple of years. I’m all about sharing the love, so by all means, use this program for your own training, just come up with your own routes which are situated around your area.
